Northeast Volleyball Club Offers Free Youth Clinics During Olympics
Leading up to the Summer Olympics in Paris, NEVBC will be highlighting news from Team USA's players and matches
Northeast Volleyball Club’s (NEVBC) founders, Cat Dailey Minyard and Garrett Minyard are thrilled to announce free youth clinics at their Norwalk facility throughout July and August.
In anticipation of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, Cat and Garrett will be installing a countdown clock to the Olympics and feature an Olympic wall that highlights news around the Team USA rosters, players, news, and wins. NEVBC will be the go-to for people following volleyball at the Olympic Games.
Cat emphasized the importance of showcasing volleyball during the Olympics, saying, “Our goal is to expose new players to the sport and teach volleyball in a way that is fun and accessible. We have clinics and programs that cater to beginners and more seasoned players, all of which will highlight the values of teamwork and sportsmanship that you will see at the Olympics.” Their free clinics will run from July 19 - August 11th for boys and girls athletes ages 5-16.
Before founding NEVBC in 2018 with her husband, Garrett Minyard, Cat played professional volleyball in the Italian Serie A league for Volley Millenium Brescia, leading her team to win the 2018 Italian A2 Championship and gain promotion to Italian A1 league, the top professional women’s volleyball league in the world. Cat and Garrett are now passing their knowledge on to the next generation of youth athletes and have helped over 70 athletes go on to play college volleyball since 2018.
NEVBC is run out of the Northeast Athletic Center, a premier state-of-the-art 52,000 square foot training facility in Norwalk, CT featuring; six oversized Taraflex indoor volleyball courts, a varsity weight room for strength and conditioning, along with extensive volleyball programming. With over 80 coaches and trainers, NEVBC offers a pathway to learn and play volleyball for players of all levels.
