Police ID Victim of Fatal Car Crash
Police have identified the victim in the fatal car accident that occurred on Monday evening in Bethel as a 24-year-old Ridgefield man.
BETHEL, CT — Lieutenant Michael J. Libertini, Field Operations Commander of the Bethel Police Department told said police have identified the victim in the fatal car accident that occurred on Monday evening.
The operator of the vehicle, David M. Wood of Mountain View Avenue, Ridgefield, was killed int he accident after hitting a tree on Route 53 near the Redding border Monday. His car burst into flames after the crash;.
Police said Wood, 24, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and that the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
