Police Investigate 'Suspicious' Person At Ridgefield High School Game

Spectators believed a person was carrying a weapon during Friday's football game between Ridgefield High School and Greenwich High School.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police ordered a person off the grounds at Tiger Hollow Stadium Friday night after spectators reported to Ridgefield High School staff that the person was possibly concealing a weapon, according to police.

The person was located walking eastward toward the practice fields during the football game between Ridgefield High School and Greenwich High School, police said in a news release.

Following an investigation and identifying the person, police say they determined there was no weapon and no threat to the public.
