Police Invite Public to Welcome New Chief

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The police are inviting the public to attend the Oath of Office Ceremony for their new chief.

Jeffrey Kreitz will be sworn in as Ridgefield chief of police on Nov. 14 at 11:00 a.m. at The Ridgefield Community Center at Lounsbury House. Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

Kreitz, the PD's public information officer, has recently been named to the post following the retirement of long time Chief of Police John Roche in August. Roche died less than one week into his retirement.
