Ridgefield Pride in the Park is SUNDAY, June 1st 12-3pm

Ridgefield Pride in the Park will take place on a SUNDAY this year, the 1st Sunday in June, JUNE 1st.

Ridgefield’s sixth annual Pride in the Park celebration will take place on SUNDAY, JUNE 1st from 12 - 3 pm in Ballard Park, 485 Main Street, Ridgefield (Rain location: Yanity Gym) with a parade around the park starting at 1pm. Ridgefield Pride in the Park is a free event, open to the public and catering to families, with a variety of activities, crafts, entertainment and informational tables geared towards all ages. In addition to Pride in the Park, there will be a multitude of celebratory Pride events and Pride Promotions throughout May, June and July with something for everyone, from our tiniest tots to our seniors. Congregation Shir Shalom will host their annual Pride Shabbat service on Friday, May 30th at 7:30 pm. On Sunday, June 8th, catch a Live Drag Performance at The Lantern. For families with children age 3 and up check out Rainbow Family Storytime which will take place at the Ridgefield Library on Wednesday mornings in June, starting on the 11th. Ridgefield CT Pride and the Ridgefield Historical Society will be hosting the Ridgefield Oral History Project Celebration on June 21st at 2pm at the Ridgefield Library. Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe will be featuring their popular Pride ice cream for the month of June. Additional Ridgefield-area LGBTQ+ events and promotions will be announced in the coming weeks on our website www.ridgefieldctpride.com.

In these times of social upheaval and division it is essential that we come together and support each other. The LGBTQ community is one of our vulnerable populations, and it is important that we work to lift people up rather than pull them down. Ridgefield CT Pride provides just such an opportunity to do so, so please come join us in celebrating the LGBTQ community.

Ridgefield CT Pride is a non-profit charitable organization that was created in 2019 under the umbrella of the 501(c)3 organization Friends of Ridgefield Community Programs.
Our mission:

  • to foster a sense of belonging for our LGBTQ+ community, family & friends
  • to educate, promote awareness & understanding and increase visibility
  • to provide support for both LGBTQ+ individuals and their friends and family
  • to celebrate Ridgefield’s LGBTQ+ community
