Re-elect Berger-Girvalo to protect our families and our environment

Early voting is a first, this year at Town Hall (every day from now until November 3)...or vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5!

Between the violent and destructive storms we now have on a regular basis, the massive flooding event we had here in CT in August, and the extensive devastation we all recently witnessed in the South from Hurricane Helene, I’ve seen enough proof of climate change to know that it is real – and needs real action.

I’m supporting Aimee Berger-Girvalo for re-election because she understands the urgency of shoring up our infrastructure to curtail the destructive effects of climate change, along with enacting commonsense solutions to reduce greenhouse gasses here in CT. Aimee’s actions include:

· Expanded financing to develop zero emission vehicle infrastructure, build more solar power and fuel cells, and reinforce our electric grid against the effects of climate change

  • Sped up the timeline for the electrification of the state fleet of vehicles
  • Made it easier for renters and condo owners to install electric chargers
  • Exempted electric charging stations from property tax assessments

Unmitigated climate change will have devastating effects for our families, our personal safety, and our economy. I want a government – local and national - that acknowledges the science and understands how critical it is to be both proactive - with initiatives that will help reduce our carbon footprint and safeguard our environment - and reactive - with solutions that work to protect us now against increasingly extreme weather events.

To the deniers: I suggest you reach out and speak with your family and friends in the South who are currently suffering the catastrophic effects of climate change first-hand.

Aimee has a proven track record, and is endorsed by The CT League of Conservation Voters, and the Sierra Club. Please join them – and me – to re-elect Aimee Berger-Girvalo for State Rep.
