The Re-Greening Of Ridgefield: Bold Replanting Project Kicks Off
The Ridgefield Rotary and the Ridgefield Tree Committee hope to "restore the heart of the town" by replanting trees.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Rotary and the Ridgefield Tree Committee are teaming up to replant trees in town lost through disease, age or storms.
The agencies figure to offset recent "significant" tree losses through a multi-year plan to replant 50-75 trees on Main Street and Ridgefield’s entranceways.
"Replanting Ridgefield is more than just an environmental effort; it’s about restoring the heart of our town. Each tree planted will make a lasting impact, ensuring a beautiful, greener, healthier environment for future generations," officials said in a news release Tuesday.
