Ridgefield 2021 Elections: Vote Totals For Every Race

Thousands of Ridgefield residents have cast their votes in the 2021 municipal election in a number of key races.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — When all the votes were counted, it was the Democrats' night.

The Democratic Town Committee reported unofficially that all four Democrats running for positions on the Board of Education were victorious. Tina Malhotra was reelected, and Selina Bell, Tom Colin and Amy Casey were elected to the Board of Ed.

In the 16 races in which Democrats fielded candidates, they won 15. Republican John Frey edged out Democratic challenger Sharon Wicks Dornfeld for a spot on the Police Commission.

Democrats Mike Rettger and Andrew Okrongly were elected to continue to serve on the Board of Finance. Joseph Pastore III was reelected to the Zoning Board Of Appeals and Jeff Lundberg, the chair of the Board of Assessment Appeals, was reelected.

Candidates for the Planning & Zoning Commission went to bed early on Election Night. Ridgefield residents cast votes to fill five seats there, but only five candidates are in contention: Democrats Mariah Hutchings Okrongly, Elizabeth DiSalvo, and Joe Dowdell; and Republicans Joseph Sorena and Christopher Molyneaux.

There were three open seats on Ridgefield's Inland Wetland Board, and three candidates: Chris Phelps and David L. Smith, and Republican Tim Bishop.
