Ridgefield A Better Chance Hires first-ever Executive Director
Ridgefield A Better Chance is pleased to announce the hiring of Sarah Streif as its Executive Director
RIDGEFIELD, CT – Ridgefield A Better Chance (RABC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Sarah Streif as its Executive Director, effective August 12, 2024.
Sarah brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Sarah has held various leadership positions at large non-profit organizations. Most recently, she was the Development and Outreach Manager for Ann’s Place, Inc in Danbury, responsible for all of their large-scale annual fundraising events. Prior to that she was the Campaign Development Specialist for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Austin, Texas where she oversaw logistics, timelines, budgets and other operational elements for their fundraising campaigns.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sarah as our Executive Director, a new position for our organization,” said Kristen Esemplare, Ridgefield ABC Director. “Her outstanding leadership, organizational management skills and fundraising expertise will be instrumental in driving our mission forward and ensuring that RABC can make an even greater difference in the lives of those we serve and our community. This marks an exciting new chapter in our journey, and we look forward to all we will accomplish together.”
Sarah expressed excitement about joining RABC and the opportunity to work with the Board of Directors, the RABC Resident and Assistant Directors and the RABC scholars “It’s an honor to be the first Executive Director for this incredible organization that has made such an impact in our local community for more than 35 years. I look forward to working alongside the Board of Directors to continue the important work of empowering young women of color through education and mentorship. Together, we will build on the strong foundation already in place, and I am eager to contribute to the growth and success of RABC's mission.”
Sarah has a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas in Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
She lives in Ridgefield with her husband, Matt and their 11 year- old twins, Tucker and Quinn.
