Ridgefield Board Of Finance To Discuss Fire Department Overtime, Capital Needs

The Ridgefield Board of Finance will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday in the Town Hall Large Conference Room.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Board of Finance is scheduled to convene its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026. The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Large Conference Room.

Public comments are invited at the beginning of the meeting.

Key discussion points for the evening include an election of officers for 2026, scheduled for 7:20 p.m. Following this, at 7:30 p.m., the Board will engage in a discussion with the First Selectperson regarding the overtime budget situation for the Fire Department and Civilian Dispatch, along with long-range capital needs.

The agenda also features several financial reports. The Board of Education Financial Report for December 2025 is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. This will be followed by the Treasurer’s Report at 8:20 p.m., the Tax Collector’s Report at 8:30 p.m., and the Controller’s Report at 8:40 p.m. The Controller’s Report will cover Fiscal Year 2026 revenues and expenses, a financial analysis, and the setting of a special meeting to discuss with auditors.

Old business, including a review of a Zoom experiment, is slated for 9:00 p.m. New business will address communications, correspondence, and a review of the calendar at 9:10 p.m., leading to adjournment.
