Ridgefield Father Pleads Not Guilty in Hot-Car Death of One-Year-Old Son

Kyle Seitz pleaded not guilty in court today. He faces up to a year in prison if convicted.

Kyle Seitz, the Ridgefield father who is charged with the criminal negligent homicide of his son pleaded not guilty in court this morning.

Seitz forgot his one-year-old son Benjamin in the car during a hot July day, according to the Connecticut Post. He faces up to a year in prison if convicted.

The story sparked national attention as several instances of children being left in hot cars popped up across the country during the hot summer months.

Seitz was arraigned last week in court. His wife Lindsey Rogers-Seitz took their other two children out of state to avoid media attention, according to the Post.
