Ridgefield Pickleball Fundraiser Raises $1,350 For Meals On Wheels

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield pickleball community recently came together for a breakfast fundraiser benefiting Meals on Wheels, raising $1,350 in honor of Mendy Polchinski.

The event was held Friday, June 5, 2026, and drew more than 60 players, according to a news release. It was organized as a tribute to Polchinski, a member of the pickleball community who recently died and who had volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years.

Twelve local businesses also took part by donating raffle items for the fundraiser. Those donations included gift cards from Ross Bakery, À Table, Adam Broderick and Southwest Cafe, along with a private pickleball lesson and other items.
