Ridgefield Police Department Swears In New Officer

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Police Department has welcomed its newest officer, Luca Zaffina, who was sworn in Feb. 24 morning by Town Clerk Wendy Lionetti during a ceremony at police headquarters.

Zaffina, who has served as a dispatcher for the department for the past two years, will spend the next month training at headquarters before beginning police academy training in Meriden.

The department announced Zaffina’s appointment as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its ranks and prepare new officers for active duty.
