Ridgefield Pride In The Park Set For June 6 At Ballard Park
Ridgefield Pride in the Park returns June 6 with a parade, activities and performances at Ballard Park.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield’s seventh annual “Pride in the Park” event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from noon to 3 p.m. at Ballard Park, with a parade around the park beginning at 1 p.m., according to organizers.
The event is free and open to the public, with activities, crafts, entertainment and informational tables planned for attendees of all ages, organizers said. The Ridgefield Chorale is scheduled to perform at the gazebo.
In addition to the June 6 event, organizers said additional Pride-related events and promotions are planned in Ridgefield throughout May, June and July. Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe is expected to feature Pride-themed ice cream during June, with more events to be announced on the organization’s website.

Organizers said the event is intended to bring the community together and support LGBTQ+ residents.
Ridgefield CT Pride, which organizes the event, is a nonprofit charitable organization established in 2019 under the umbrella of Friends of Ridgefield Community Programs, according to the release.

The organization said its mission includes fostering a sense of belonging for the LGBTQ+ community and their families, promoting awareness and visibility, providing support, and celebrating the community.
