Ridgefield Safety Day Is Sunday Oct. 2

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The town will be holding its annual Safety Day on Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Ridge Middle School.

Demonstrations will be given by the Eagle One police search and rescue helicopter at 11:30 a.m., and K-9 Loki and his handler at 12:15 p.m. Police and fire vehicles will be on display.

Presentations and exhibitions will also be available from the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association, the Community Emergency Response Team, the BLAST Lyme & Tick-Borne Disease Prevention Program, the Ridgefield Prevention Council and others.

There will be food trucks.

East Ridge Middle School is located at 10 East Ridge Road in Ridgefield.
