Ridgefield's St. Stephen’s Church Holds Blue Christmas Service

The annual Blue Christmas service is open to all who seek peace and comfort or are hurting during the Christmas season.

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 353 Main Street, will hold its annual Candlelight Blue Christmas Service, Sunday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. This contemplative service of prayers and meditations is an opportunity to find peace and comfort during the Christmas season. It is especially designed for anyone in the Ridgefield community who may be in mourning, lonely, or is hurting in any way at Christmas time. The St. Stephen’s Choir and a harpist will provide special music.

“There are years when we hurt during this holiday season and can’t enjoy the festivities as others seem to be able to do,” said one organizer of the Blue Christmas service. “We believe as we do these things together, God comes to shine light into our darkness.”
