St. Stephen’s and Braver Angels to Screen Film on Our Divided Country
The new documentary, A Road Trip Across a Divided America, will be screened at St. Stephen's Sunday, November 17.
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Ridgefield is partnering with Braver Angels to screen a new documentary, A Road Trip Across a Divided America, in the church sanctuary on Sunday, November 17, at 4 p.m. Braver Angels is a grassroots organization, founded in 2016, whose mission is to bridge the political divide and strengthen our democratic republic.
The film, by award-winning British filmmaker Joseph Sim, follows his journey on a summer-long road trip across the United States as he asks strangers across America, as well as the biggest depolarization players, “How did we lose connection with our neighbor?” And, more important, “How do we get it back?” According to a Braver Angels spokesman, “A Road Trip is an uplifting film for everyone... male/female, young/old, conservative/liberal/middle-of-the-roader, new to Town/Lifer.”
