Creative writing nonprofit Muse Squad offers volunteer and internship opportunities for all.
Muse Squad, a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing young writers, invites aspiring storytellers to join our enriching programs this fall! Founded in 2022 by creative inspiration seeker Brittney Richardson, Muse Squad is a haven for youth, where imaginations blossom like an ever-evolving lotus flower, fostering a deep love for creative writing and self-expression.
At Muse Squad, we believe every young writer, regardless of experience, has the potential to craft captivating stories. Our engaging classes teach essential literary techniques, character development, and dialogue mastery while encouraging students to support and inspire one another. By the end of our courses, participants will have the beginnings of a novel, short story, or a collection of standalone pieces ready to shine in their writing portfolios. The classes culminate in a joyous Final Reading and reception, celebrating each writer's unique voice.

Exciting Internship Opportunities
In addition to our classes, Muse Squad is thrilled to announce various internship opportunities for those looking to make a meaningful impact within our organization. These internships are perfect for people eager to learn and contribute to our mission.
★ Grant Writer Intern: Play a crucial role in securing funding for Muse Squad’s initiatives by researching available grants, crafting compelling cover letters, and collaborating on grant applications.
★ Press Releases Intern: Join our team in writing engaging press releases for our classes, events, and opportunities. You'll tailor each article to the community and assist with media outreach to amplify our message.
★ Photographer/Videographer Intern: Capture the essence of Muse Squad’s activities by documenting our classes, workshops, and events. Your photos and videos will showcase the impact of our work and celebrate our young writers.
★ Donations & Fundraising Intern: Spearhead our Donations & Fundraising Campaign by developing and executing innovative strategies to secure funding and support our organization’s growth.
★ Social Media Intern: Engage our audience across various platforms by crafting compelling content that drives awareness and excitement around Muse Squad’s initiatives.
★ Event Planning Intern: Help organize and execute our upcoming special events. You’ll communicate with participants, ensure seamless coordination, and contribute to the success of our annual gatherings.
Internships will run for 3-6 months, with the possibility of contract renewal. Candidates can choose between part-time and full-time commitments and may apply for multiple positions, encouraging exploration across different areas of interest within Muse Squad.
Volunteer Opportunities: Aspire to Be a Hero at Muse Squad
We also welcome volunteers eager to inspire the next generation of writers! Join our Muse Crew (ages 18 & up) to take on various roles and support our mission. Help us create a nurturing environment for young creatives while making a lasting impact.
For those aged 14 and up, consider joining the Muse Crew Youth Leadership program, where you can represent Muse Squad in your town and engage with your community.
