Don't Forget Your Six Pack!

We are not talking beer! We all look forward to vacation, a time to unwind, relax and de-stress. Tis the season....as you soon find yourself packing for vacation, don't pack up your exercise routine and come home with extra baggage!. Keep those healthy habits healthy, clean eating too!

Map out your exercise, find an itinerary that works and check-in a some of these items with you to stay in shape:

• Exercise Band – pack up your exercise band and keep up with your strength workouts!

• Jump Rope – pack up your jump road, grab some cardio along with alternating strength intervals with an exercise band.

• Bike – bring your bike if you can, bike with your family, a fun activity that never really feels like exercise!

• Yoga Mat – road trip? Take your yoga mat with you!  

• Go deep, read a good book that will help to exercise your mind

• Wall - perform wall squats holds and/or wall push up's

• Floor – push ups, squats, lunges, planks, bridges

• Chair – tricep dips, decline push up's

• Beach – heading to the beach this summer, use the beach to take a walk or jog, the sand offers great resistance!

• Take a hike - if your vacation offers hiking, check it out!  A great opportunity to be outdoors and offers physical activity.

• Stairs—staying in a high rise hotel? Forget the elevator, take the stairs!

• A quite spot – find a few quite minutes and meditate!

• Plan ahead, check out places to take fitness/yoga/pilates classes or better yet, try a class you have never taken before!

• Swimming –does your hotel have a pool, swim, walk or jog in the water!
