Not Enough Time to Exercise?
People keep coming up with all of these excuses to why they aren't exercising, eating healthy, and living a healthy lifestyle. I'm here to debunk these so called "excuses". Check it out!

According to the Centers of Disease and Control Prevention (CDC) more than one third of adults in America are obese. Relatively soon, obesity is going to surpass smoking for the leading preventable cause of death in the United States. Childhood obesity has tripled in the last 30 years and now more than one third of children and adolescents are obese. If those statistics bother you, keep reading.
The excuses people are coming up with now-a-days for the reason why they aren’t living a healthy lifestyle are obsurd. “I don’t have enough time to exercise and eat healthy.” “I got a job, kids, and a lot on my plate.” “It’s the school system and medias fault”. So on and so forth. Everyday people are coming up with more and more excuses in order to shy away from committing to a healthy lifestyle. People try these ridiculous diets thinking that will solve the problem. A diet is not sustainable and does not solve the problem what so ever. In order for a person to maintain and live a healthy lifestyle they have to commit to a lifestyle change. Something that will stick with them for the rest of their lives. Diets last for a few weeks, sometimes months. A person will drop some weight and then once the diet stops, all the weight they lost comes back on and then some.
The sole purpose I decided to write this piece is because of the excuse I’m hearing day after day, “I don’t have enough time. I’m too busy”. What that tells me is that person would rather get take out or fast food and save ten minutes out of their day rather than make a healthy meal. That tells me that rather than working out for 20 or 30 minutes every day, they would rather watch a television show or relax on the couch with a bag of chips and a soda. To me living an unhealthy lifestyle is like doing drugs every single day. Each day you’re deciding to decrease your lifespan and dramatically increase the chance of life threatening diseases. I’m not saying committing to a healthy lifestyle is easy. I’m saying it’s something everyone should strive for.

I’m going to school for Health and Physical Education at Springfield College and hoping to get a Masters in Special Education. I play football there and am involved in numerous other physical activities and organizations. The main reason why I chose to go down this path is because I want to make a difference in peoples lives.
Wake up 20 or 30 minutes early before work, go for a run or jog around your neighborhood. Do some body weight exercises before you go in the shower. Exercise during your lunch break. Prepare HEALTHY meals before your day so that way you don’t have to worry about time. Living a healthy lifestyle is something everyone can do. It’s just a matter of wanting to do it. Would you rather live until your 55 or 95? It’s up to you.
