New Brewery Coming to Rocky Hill

A new brewery will be coming to Rocky Hill, reports the Hartford Courant.

The planning and zoning commission recently granted a special permit and approved a site plan for Still Hill Brewery, LLC to open a microbrewery.

The founder, Scott Barbanel, says he hopes to have the brewery open in November of 2015.

The brewery has leased 4,200 square feet in the Shunpike Business Center. The brewery will produce up to 620 gallons at a time and the beer will be sold in kegs to bars and restaurants - and in bottles to package stores.

A tap room will allow the public to sample and buy beer.

The brewery will produce three types of beer year-round, as well as experimental and seasonal brews that Barbanel creates.
