Business Owners Meet Every Week to Network

Business Networking group is looking for new members.

The group allows members the chance to network, ask for referrals and get advice.

The group, which was started in 1995, has about 20 members with each having a different “professional specialty."  The members are mostly from the Connecticut River Valley.

“It is an opportunity to stay in touch,” said Dave Sevigny, who is with Atlantic Home Loans and a founding member of the group. “We have a sphere of influence in many areas.”

Skip Comstock, of H.S. Comstock Agency, is a founding member of the group and said his business has grown each year since belonging to the . He said the group allows him to bounce ideas off other professionals and helps him get answers to questions from people outside of his profession.

“They will be honest with you.”

Each member of the group is given 30 to 60 seconds to promote their business during each meeting. Then, one member of the group gives a 10-15 minute presentation about their business. On Wednesday, it was Terry T. Terzakis, mortgage banker for Atlantic Home Loans.

"The whole goal is to create business for each other," Ric Valliere of Alpha Financial Group said.

group meets every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the Administrative meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month.

“We are always looking for new members,” Scott Lowe, president of group, said. He added that they allow people to attend three meetings before deciding if the group is right for them.
