Children Show Off Their Artistic Talent
The Parks and Recreation Department holds an art class every Tuesday for children under the age of 12.
Elementary age children spent Tuesday night using oil pastels to make colorful pictures of butterflies.
The children, who are between the ages of 6 and 12, are participating in the Parks and Recreation Department fall art class, which meets from 6-7 p.m. every Tuesday at the .
"Some of them have styles that are so precise and some are so loose," Instructor Lisa Roncaioli said about her students' styles.

The students have already made snake and reptile pictures by using patterns of dots to simulate African mud paintings. They have also drawn a picture using warm and cool colors.
"I want them to try as many things as they can," Roncaioli said. "Because it is not school art, I let them tryout their own ideas."

The students will also make clay and wood sculptures.
On Dec. 13, the class will hold an art show where all their work will be displayed for their families and friends. The show will be from 6-7 p.m. inside the lobby with light refreshments and punch being served.
