High Winds Dock Connecticut River Ferry

ROCKY HILL, CT — High winds forced state transportation officials to suspend ferry service between Rocky Hill and Glastonbury on Monday.

Connecticut Department of Transportation officials said on a website posting that the ferry would be closed Monday.

The ferry service is scheduled to resume Tuesday at 7 a.m., DOT officials said.

The ferry is the oldest continuously operating river ferry service in the nation.
