It's Your Business: T & M Billiards & Barstools

A local billiards store wants customers to know that it offers more than just pool tables and can help anyone fill their rec room or man cove with high quality items.

has been in business for 65 years and will be celebrating eight years in its Rocky Hill location on Thanksgiving.

The hottest items at the store are kitchen and bar stools, according to Store Manager Brian Kincman. He said that a lot of people are looking to remodel their kitchens or the extra rooms in the basement and they want stools, not chairs, for the island or bar area.

"That (item) is driving the store," Kincman said.

He added that T & M, which also has a store in North Windham, is one of the only places in the area that offers kitchen and bar stools and has a wider variety of stools on display than any local furniture, department or home improvement store in the surrounding towns. In fact, T & M has over 300 different types of kitchen and bar stools on display in its Rocky Hill store and many of them can be customized.

Kincman said the company offers a unique program that allows customers to try the stools out at their homes to see if it fits the room and feels comfortable. The program is free of charge, while other stores charge for the service, he said.

Besides kitchen and bar stools, T & M has a wide variety of items to fill up a family rec room or any guy's man cove. The store sells foosball tables, air hockey tables and upright arcade game systems.

"Anything you can think of for a bonus room we sell," Kincman said. "It could be one stop shopping for your rec room."

Even with the economic recession, T & M Billiards & Barstools has prided itself on selling high quality items with an emphasis on customer service, according to Kincman.

"If there is ever an issue, we take it seriously," he said.

T & M Billiards & Barstools also has its own in house delivery and installation team and does not subcontract out the work to ensure quality, Kincman said.

Over the next five years, the company would like to add more outdoor bar stools and tables to its lineup, Kincman said.

"We would like more outdoor furniture for entertaining," he said. The goal is to keep up with the latest technology and products, he added.

The hours of operation for the Rocky Hill store are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Like T & M Billiards & Barstools on Facebook.
