Owls Soar Past Terriers, 73-50
The boys' basketball team suffers their third straight loss after being defeated by Hartford Public.
The Rocky Hill boys' basketball team suffered a tough loss Friday night as Hartford Public beat them, 73-50.
The Terriers came out firing and scored off the opening tip off. The two teams traded baskets and were tied 15-15 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Hartford Public used full court pressure to generate their offense and took a 31-18 lead into halftime. The Owls scored 16 points in the quarter while holding the Terriers to only three points.
The Terriers started the second half off with three straight baskets.

"We put on a little run there," Rocky Hill head cocah Pete Asadourian. "It is a great thing to take from the game."
Hartford Public was able to weather the storm and took 18-point lead into the fourth quarter.
Senior Isaiah Rodriguez was the top scorer for the Terriers with 12 points. Junior Christian Foxen had 11 and senior Albert Figueroa scored 10 points. Hartford Public was lead by Daylon Ore, who had 16 points.
Kenechi Nezianya suffered ankle injury during the shoot around a couple of hours before the game, according to Asadourian. Nezianya is 6' 6'' and was a large part of the Friday game plan, he added.
"He is a key player," Asadourian said. "It altered our game plan."
Asadourian said Hartford Public is a "good and athletic" team, but the Terriers had their chances. Despite the score, he feels his team can play with the top teams in the state.
"We are going to continue to play hard for 32 minutes," he said. "I am proud of our effort."
The game was originally scheduled for Thursday night, but was delayed because of problems with the clock.
The Terriers have lost three straight games and suffered losses to E.O. Smith, 56-44 on Jan. 3 and Conrad, 57-50 on Dec. 29. The boys' team will play Fermi at on Monday at 7 p.m.
