Terriers Crush Crusaders

The Rocky Hill girls soccer team beats Holy Cross 6-2.

The Terriers came out firing on all cylinders and scored three goals before Holy Cross got on the board in the 6-2 victory Thursday night in the first round of the state tournament.

Rocky Hill was lead by Cara Pizzo who scored three goals in the game. However, according to coach AnnMarie Catania, who was filling in for head coach Bill Pacelia, it was a total team effort from start to finish.

"They came out strong and gave a 110 the entire game. And they worked together as a team the whole game. We were very impressed by them."

Rocky Hill moves on to the second round of the tournament and a possible matchup with sixth ranked Tolland.

"We are going to have to come out as strong as we did today," Catania said. "We are going to have to finish. We have to continue working together and giving our best."

The girls soccer team is undefeated at home after probably playing their final home game of the season.
