Some teachers and managers are comparable in the sense that they fear that if they’re not constantly directing and telling subordinates what to do they’ll lose control.
People who smother are not well liked and want to be avoided. This can make building rapport hard to accomplish in school, home or any work environment. When someone micromanages, it can imply they show a lack of confidence in them. Constant input is given because they don’t believe in the ability or potential of the person, to listen, learn, speak, and understand.
