• Griffin Hospital Annual 5K Set For Oct. 24 (newhavenindependent.org) — Seymour residents are invited to join Griffin Hospital’s 18th Annual 5K Walk/Run in Derby on Saturday, Oct. 24, supporting advanced cancer care for the Lower Naugatuck Valley. The family-friendly event welcomes teams and individuals, offers fundraising awards, and allows commemorative signs to honor loved ones. Registration is $35 before Oct. 5 and available online.
