ID Released In Fatal Shelton Crash: Report
A person was killed and two others were hospitalized following an accident in Shelton.
UPDATE: Hearst Connecticut reports that the person who died in a Shelton crash on Sunday night was Mandie Lassy, 37, of Plymouth. The crash remains under investigation. (Read more at Hearst CT).
Original story: SHELTON, CT — A person is dead and two others were injured in a crash in Shelton on Sunday night, according to a police statement.
The accident occurred at 11:10 p.m. in the area of River Road (Route 110) and Montgomery Street.

Police and firefighters arrived and found two vehicles involved in the crash.
One of the people involved was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital but was later declared dead due to their injuries. The driver's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Two people from the other vehicle were taken to Bridgeport Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The cause of the crash is unknown. The Shelton Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
