SHELTON, CT — Three Bridgeport men accused of firing a gun in the woods in Shelton were arrested Jan. 10, according to police.

The Connecticut Post reports the men are accused of firing a gun in the woods in the area of Indian Hill and Leavenworth roads, then getting in a truck and leaving the area, according to police.

When officers located and stopped the truck, they found a firearm inside the vehicle, the Connecticut Post reports.

According to an arrest log provided by Shelton police, Marco Antonio Rivera-Garcia, 24, Mauricio Jesus Valiente-Garcia, 27, and Jhonatan Sadyt Palencia-Garcia, 21, were each charged with

carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine and second-degree breach of peace.

All three men received a $10,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court in February, according to police.
