Ansonia Man Facing Charges In Lengthy Child Porn Investigation

ANSONIA, CT — A 27-year-old Ansonia man has been arrested in connection with a "lengthy" child pornography investigation, police announced Wednesday.

Michael Bernaud turned himself in after a warrant was obtained, the Ansonia Police Department said.

He is facing one charge of possession of child pornography, two counts of enticing a minor by computer, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Bernaud is being held on a $150,000 bond and will appear in Derby Superior Court on Wednesday for arraignment.

Ansonia police credited the Monroe Police Department, Police Scotland, Collin County Sheriff’s Office in Texas, Muscatine Police Department in Iowa, Onslow County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina, and the Vermont State Police for assisting in the investigation.
