SHELTON, CT — A 21-year-old New Haven man was arrested on first-degree robbery and third-degree larceny charges Friday in connection with a carjacking in Shelton on June 30, according to police.

Davon Brown was being held in lieu of bail of $50,000 following his arrest, and his Facebook profile played a role in his capture, authorities said.

"The complainant informed police that he listed his vehicle for sale on Facebook Market Place and Brown showed interest," Shelton police wrote on Facebook (see below). "The complainant alleged when Brown arrived to view the car, he displayed a firearm, then pushed him to the ground. Brown then stole the vehicle along with the keys and title. Brown was later identified by his Facebook profile."
