Bank Robbery Reported In Shelton: Police
The robbery occurred Tuesday afternoon at the People's United Bank in the Stop and Shop on Bridgeport Avenue, according to Shelton police.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton police are searching for the person who robbed the People's United Bank Tuesday in the Stop and Shop at 898 Bridgeport Ave. The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the suspect's arrest.
No injuries were reported in the robbery, which occurred at about 12:10 p.m.
The suspect, a man, "demanded cash from a teller, then exited the store and fled" in what Shelton police said "appears to be an older model white Nissan Sentra which had no registration plates and appears to have damage to the rear passenger side." The suspect is described as "a heavy-set white male, approximately 6’0 tall in his 50’s to early 60’s." He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He also was wearing a red baseball cap and black mask.
