
DERBY, CT — Derby Republican mayoral challenger Richard Dziekan has unofficially won the race by a margin of 1,795 to 1,292 against incumbent Mayor Anita Dugatto, according to the preliminary tally from town officials.
In Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti won re-election after running unopposed.

Applications must be postmarked or received by a voter registration agency by the 7th day before an election, which is Oct. 31. However, if you miss the deadline for registering for an election, Connecticut now offers same-day voter registration. Absentee Ballots
You can vote by absentee due to the following reasons:
- Illness or physical disability
- Absence from town during all election hours

- Active service in the Armed Forces
