SHELTON, CT — Shelton Animal Control said a dog was found left in a cage at a construction site on Bridgeport Avenue.

The injuries would leave the dog paralyzed and in severe pain, according to animal control.

"After a very tough decision we decided along with the Doctor that it was best to humanely euthanize him," the post reads.

The dog was "likely dumped in the middle of the night" at the construction site "in pain and suffering."
