Driver Killed In Shelton Crash, Police Seek Information: PD

Shelton police said they are investigating a one-car crash in which a 32-year-old Ansonia man was killed.

SHELTON, CT — An Ansonia man was killed in a car crash Tuesday morning in Shelton, according to police.

In a news release posted to Facebook, police said officers, firefighters and Emergency Medical Services were called to a one-car accident involving a 2008 blue Nissan Altima on Shelton Avenue around 10 a.m.

The driver, a 32-year-old Ansonia man, was the only occupant in the vehicle and was later pronounced deceased, according to police.

The Shelton Police Accident Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the crash, and police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

Police also noted a man on a moped who was in the area at the time of the crash may have witnessed the incident.
