Go Fund Me Set Up for 6-Year-Old Killed in Shelton Crash

The fund is to support funeral expenses for 6-year-old Nyah Marcano.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up to assist the family of an Ansonia 6-year-old who was killed in a crash on Route 8 in Shelton.

Nyah Marcano was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Tuesday. She was ejected from a vehicle and died from her injuries.

The goal of the fund is to help lift the financial burden for the family in any way possible.

“As you may know, God called home beautiful 6 year old Nyah Marcano, August 18, 2015. Every parent’s worst nightmare is to lose a child let alone two in less than one year (Nyah’s baby sister Lily Rose was also given her angel wings this year). Nyah’s smile could light up a room. There will forever be a piece of everyones hearts missing,” the Go Fund Me page says.

Grief counselors are available at Ansonia Public Schools for the two 6-year-old children killed this week. Nyah was going to start first grade at Prendergast School next week. Another Ansonia student, 6-year-old Leah Rondon was killed after being hit by a truck on Thursday.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, friends and loved ones of these two children,” Dr. Carol Merlone, Ansonica Superintendent of Schools, said in a statement Friday.
