Man Accused Of Burglary In Shelton: Police

A homeowner saw a suspect stealing tools via Ring camera, police said.

SHELTON, CT — A Naugatuck resident is accused of stealing tools in Shelton, police said.

At 9:45 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a Huntington Street home for a burglary in progress after a homeowner reported observing a suspect stealing tools via Ring camera, police said.

Police said they identified the suspect as Christopher Sanchez, 45, of Naugatuck. Detective Nugent and detectives conducted surveillance and located Sanchez in Naugatuck the same day, police said.

He was seen wearing the same clothing and in the same vehicle seen in the burglary and was taken into custody without incident, police said.

Stolen items, valued at approximately $1,070, were recovered in plain view inside the vehicle, police said.

Sanchez was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Larceny 4th Degree. He was released on a $50,000 cash surety bond.
