Man Arrested On Gun, Drug Charges After Traffic Stop: Shelton Police

Police said containers of methamphetamine, ecstasy and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic gun were found inside the car.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton man was arrested on gun and drug charges after a traffic stop Monday in Shelton, according to police.

The vehicle was stopped in the downtown area for motor vehicle violations, according to police.

During the investigation, police said containers of methamphetamine, ecstasy and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic gun were found inside the car.

Police said the driver of the vehicle, Matthew Seno, is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Seno, 29, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a pistol without a permit, Illegal possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of controlled substance and various motor vehicle charges. He posted a $25,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 16.
