Man Charged In Shelton Hotel Room Burglary, Cat Still Missing: Police
Police said a man has been charged in connection to a burglary in which several items were reported stolen, including a hairless cat.

SHELTON, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested Wednesday on charges connected to a hotel room burglary last month, during which a cat was stolen, according to police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said Zyair Lopez, 20, of Bridgeport, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary.
He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.

According to Kozlowsky, the arrest stems from a burglary reported Jan. 22 at a hotel room at the Hilton Garden Inn on Old Stratford Road, during which several items and a hairless cat named Princess were reported stolen.
During their investigation, police obtained a search warrant and seized several items, however the cat has not been located as of Wednesday afternoon, Kozlowsky said. He also noted more arrests related to this case are expected.

Police previously said other items stolen from the hotel room included a Fendi and Gucci bag. The total value of the stolen items is believed to be approximately $8,500, according to police.
