Man Shot In Leg In Derby, Suspect Flees: Police
Police said a man was injured after being shot in the leg in Derby and the unknown suspect fled the area before officers arrived.

DERBY, CT — A man was injured after being shot in the leg Friday night in Derby and officers are still searching for a suspect, according to police.
In a news release, police said they received a report around 7 p.m. of a man shot in the area of Cottage and Caroline streets.
Officers found the man near his home with a single gunshot wound in his leg. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injury, police said.

A suspect fled the area before officers arrived. Police said Monday afternoon the suspect is still unknown at this time.
Police also noted the incident appears to be isolated and there is no danger to the public.
