Man Stabbed In Neck At Derby Green, Suspect Located: Police
Police said a 28-year-old man was found with several stab wounds to his upper body, including his neck, in the area of the Derby Green.
DERBY, CT — A man is in stable condition after being stabbed several times Tuesday night at the Derby Green, according to police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Justin Stanko said officers found the 28-year-old man with several stab wounds to his upper body, including his neck, in the area of the green around 6:30 p.m.
He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is reportedly in stable condition, Stanko said.

Officers searched the area and found a 39 year-old suspect with a knife believed to have been used in the assault in their possession, Stanko said.
Stanko said no arrests have been made yet, however the incident remains under investigation.

"Information received points to this being an isolated incident and there is no present threat to the public," Stanko said in a news release.
