About 15 minutes later, Adams was stopped on the Merritt Parkway by state police.

The investigation revealed that Adams had followed his wife to Shelton from New Jersey.

At the hotel, he confronted her regarding an ongoing domestic dispute.

Adams began arguing with the man accompanying his wife and Adams struck him several times with the bat.

The victim was hospitalized with injuries that were not life threatening. Adams’ wife was not injured during the incident.
