Passenger Extricated From Car After Crash In Shelton: FD
Shelton fire officials said the passenger was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a local trauma facility due to her injuries.
SHELTON, CT — A passenger was extricated from a vehicle and taken to a local trauma facility after a crash Wednesday night in Shelton, according to fire officials.
In a news release, fire officials said a crash with one person trapped inside a vehicle was reported in the area of Huntington Street around 10 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found a front seat passenger in one of the vehicles in need of extrication, officials said.

Crews used spreaders and cutters to remove the car door while others isolated the power and stabilized the vehicle, officials said.
Crews removed the door in approximately five minutes, freeing the passenger from the vehicle. The passenger was then taken to a local trauma facility due to her injuries, officials said.

The driver of the vehicle was also taken to a hospital. The driver of the second vehicle denied injury, according to fire officials.
