What is your occupation?

Industrial Hygienist for 53 years.

Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.

Wife and two adult children.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

My son works for the Department of Defense.

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

Four years on the Board of Education.

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I want to see the services of the library expanded to better meet the needs of the public.

Hours that the library is open. I intend to work to see that hours are expanded.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I think we both want to work to see the library better serve the public.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Funding and staffing of the library.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Nothing related to the library but four productive years on the Board of Education.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Don't ask others to do what you would not do.
