Proposed Shelton Development Causes Traffic Concerns

Some neighbors were worried the development would cause more traffic issues on Bridgeport Avenue

SHELTON, CT — Some neighbors were concerned that a proposed mixed-use development would stifle already busy Bridgeport Avenue traffic. The proposed development is at the former United Illuminating property.

The developer's attorney Dominick Thomas said past worries about traffic about traffic at the Big Y supermarket plaza never materialized, according to the Shelton Herald.

The proposed development would have 10 buildings including a 123-room hotel.
