Ripton Parish Chapter DAR Members Remember the Victims of 9/11

What started as a peaceful, sunny day was ravaged by a terrorist attack. We will never forget those who perished on 9/11.

Twenty-five years ago, on the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners with scheduled flights from the east coast to California. The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were intended targets, with a fourth aircraft striking an open field at Shanksville, PA, when passengers and crew challenged the terrorists.

On the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Ripton Parish Chapter DAR members commemorate this historic day so that the loved one who perished on that horrible day will not be forgotten.

The Ripton Parish Chapter, DAR has been celebrating our nation’s 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence knowing that our nation stands for freedom and liberty for all. We also remember September 11, 2001, when 2,983 people lost their lives. As Daughters of the American Revolution, we are dedicated to the DAR’s mission to promote Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism. We celebrate, educate, and honor those who gave their lived so that we can be free.
