Shelton Man Robbed 2 Stores At Gunpoint In West Haven: Police
The man is accused of robbing two stores at gunpoint on the same day, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A Shelton man is accused of robbing two stores at gunpoint in West Haven, according to police.
The Krauszers at 911 Campbell Avenue in West Haven was robbed at gunpoint around 2 a.m. on May 4 by a man who ordered the clerk to the floor and left with the contents of the cash register, according to police.
Police said the same man robbed the York Street Market at 185 York Street at gunpoint later that same day.

Through investigation, members of West Haven Police Department’s Investigative Services Division determined the make and model of the vehicle was being driven by a suspect identified as 37-year-old John Bradford, according to police.
Patrol officers later saw Bradford driving the vehicle in the area of Greta Street and initiated a traffic stop, police said.

Police said Bradford was in the possession of a Glock 43 9mm that was suspected to be the gun used in both robberies.
Bradford was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and two counts of sixth-degree larceny. He was held in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
