Shelton Mayor $30k Away From Public Financing For Governor Race

Longtime Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti isn't far off from qualifying for public financing in his bid for governor.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti is slightly over $30,000 away from qualifying for public financing for the 2018 gubernatorial race.

The longtime mayor has raised more than $229,000 as of Sept. 30, according to the Shelton Herald.

Qualifying contributions must be $100 or less.

Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst has raised a little over $195,000 and needs about $55,000 more to qualify for public financing.
